AIR TIGHTNESS TEST

In the alkaline water electrolysis hydrogen production technology, the air tightness performance of the electrolyzer diaphragm is one of the key parameters to ensure the safety and efficiency of the electrolysis process. In response to this demand, we have designed a test equipment specifically for testing the air tightness performance of the alkaline electrolyzer diaphragm.


The test equipment uses advanced pressure control systems and precise gas flow measurement technology, which can accurately measure the bubble permeation point of the electrolytic cell diaphragm and conduct a comprehensive and detailed evaluation of the diaphragm’s air tightness.


The main part of the equipment consists of a pressure chamber, a gas supply system, a data acquisition system and a control system. The pressure chamber is used to simulate the pressure environment in the electrolytic cell. It is designed with a special fixture inside to firmly clamp the diaphragm sample to ensure that it does not shift or deform during the test.


The gas supply system is responsible for providing stable and pure test gas to the pressure chamber to ensure the accuracy of the test results. The data acquisition system is responsible for real-time recording of key data such as pressure changes and gas flow in the pressure chamber, providing a reliable basis for subsequent analysis.


The control system is the core of the entire equipment. It is responsible for coordinating the work of various parts to ensure the automation and precision of the test process. During the test, the control system will automatically adjust the pressure, gas flow and other conditions in the pressure chamber according to the preset test parameters to simulate the actual working state in the electrolyzer.


The use process of the test equipment is simple and clear. First, fix the diaphragm sample to be tested on the fixture of the pressure chamber, and then set the test parameters, such as pressure range, test time, etc. Next, start the test equipment, and the control system will automatically perform the test according to the preset parameters. After the test is completed, the data acquisition system will automatically save the test data and generate a detailed test report.


By using this test equipment, we can quickly and accurately evaluate the airtightness performance of the alkaline electrolyzer diaphragm, providing strong support for the design and manufacture of the electrolyzer. At the same time, the equipment can also be used to control the quality and optimize the performance of the diaphragm, improving the overall performance and safety of the electrolyzer.
